Sometimes it’s hard to find time to take a long deep breath and enjoy the moment, so you might be wondering how am I going to find time to finally create the online course that I’ve be planning for months now.

I’m going to share with you 8 tantalizing, magical tips on how you can make time to get your course out of your head and into your customers’ hands.

1. Take 1 Course At a Time – You don’t have to create, design and launch the whole shebang in one sitting!  Break it up and design your course for only one topic. Since the course is small, then the process won’t take as long, reducing the overwhelmed feel you get and the course abandonment issue many course creators experience.  Then once you have several of your modules completed you can put them together to create your signature program.

2. Commit to it and to you – creating a course is a process, a journey and sometimes a head-banging experience but it is one in which the reward is worth it.  You have to commit to it, the process and you because a course is really an extinction of you and you need to make this commitment to you.

3. Make It #1 (after family of course) – Just like tip #2, you have to make it number 1 priority otherwise it will fall to the waste side when you get frustrated or when you get overwhelmed.  These things will happen, however if it is your #1 task/project you will get it done.

4. Block off time– select a time that works for you and commit to it.  Block off time on your calendar, switch your phone to DND and put up a sign that says Millionaire At Work.  Block it and work it!

5. Keep It Simple–  It is so easy to make something simple, complicated by just being helpful.  Trying to put everything and the kitchen sink in a course will only confuse you and your learner so keep it simple and structured.

6. Collaborate– makes it easy to keep it moving.  When you are surrounded by a group of like-minded people they motivate you and help you keep up the momentum.  Join a FaceBook group that speaks your language. I’ve joined a few that have helped me in areas where my skill set is weak.  I’ve been able to provide members with assistance as it pertains to creating courses so it’s a win-win for everybody. You can join my fabulous course creation VIP FaceBook group here and join the conversation.

7. Stay the course- there will be times when you want to throw in the towel on your course creating journey.  You may be overwhelmed or frustrated and you are not alone! Yes even us industry professions bump into these walls too and you know what we do?  We collaborate with co-workers, figure it out and stay the course. We seek other course creation professionals and also people outside the field to get feedback fast.  We don’t mello in the world of course confusion for long, we get moving. I suggest the same course of action for you. Find someone to bounce ideas off of, stay focused, keep working through your hum in the road and stay the course.

8. Guard Your Time -Earlier in this post I spoke about blocking off time.  So not only do you need to block it, you need to guard it as if your life depends on it and it really does.  You have to create your course to continue your conversation and start bringing in the bucks and in order for you to do it, you have to block your time and GUARD it.  You have to let people know that you have stuff to do and you have set time aside to make that happen. Make them respect your time. People who support you will get it (I’m not talking about kids, that’s another story, lol).
